Thread Name: Lyr/Chord Req: Grandma's Gift (Dale Ann Bradley)
Subject: Lyr Add: GRANDMA'S GIFT (Dale Ann Bradley)
Here are the lyrics as transcribed from a recording and sent to me by a friend. It would still be nice to get someone's interpretation of the chord progression.

GRANDMA'S GIFT
(Dale Ann Bradley)

I came into this world no different than any other,
By the sweat of my mother, and grace from God above,
But upon my arrival, God gave me something extra:
A gift straight from Heaven, a grandmother's love.

With hands strong and gentle, she took part in my raisin',
Constantly praisin' any good that I had done.
Sometimes when she'd hold me, she'd look down at me and say:
"When I look into your eyes, child, I can see the rise of sun."

CHORUS: My two little feet would go running up the hillside.
No matter what the trouble, she knew just what to say.
Oh, what I'd give to find that same sweet peace of mind,
When she'd kiss my cheek and calm my fears and wipe my tears away!

Now this road I'm on keeps winding; with every turn I'm finding
That she knew where I was headed and how rough the way would be;
Even though she's gone, her words will live forever,
And I will always treasure my grandma's gift to me. CHORUS

TAG: Lord, what I'd give to find that same sweet peace of mind,
When she'd kiss my cheek and calm my fears and wipe my tears away!
