Subject: RE: BS: Super 8 mm and Regular 8mm
While I was in Oregon recently my sister got some of her 88's and Super 8's turned into a DVD.
She wanted it in time for a holiday gift for her children and grandchildren but wasn't able to find any shop in her hometown that could do it in that timeframe so went online and found 'Home Movie Depot' - in Arkansas, I think? - who did it for a price. She sent off 30 reels ('Chapters. they called them.)
She committed to one DVD and an online version that would be available to anyone for 30 days. The first DVD was 'free' because it was unedited. After she received that, we went online to them and placed them in the order in which she wanted them (Some of these movies dated back to the early 60s) and named them for easier navigation.
When I left, the edited version hadn't yet arrived but was expected momentarily.
The price of the whole package: $285.00 plus $19.95 for her edited copy plus $10.00 FedEx shipping for a total of $314.95.
