Actually, According to what I know, This song was written by John Sebris who now lives in Fort Myers, FL. He wrote the words for his wife, Maureen and sold the lyrics to the Weavers for $50.00. When I moved to Fort Myers in 1986, I met John and Maureen. John played guitar for the Clancy brothers and seemed to know every word to every song. At my high scool, Sacred Heart Academy, in Hempstead, Ny in 1964, Seven Daffodils was one of our favorite songs. Visiting John and Maureen around 1987, I asked John if he knew the words to "Seven Daffodils" That's when I learned that he had written the words and sold them to the Weavers.
