Look, guys, if you re-read my posts you will see that I am not commenting on Kate Rusby's voice/accent in general, but *specifically* about the suitability of her, or anyone else, singing with a markedly northern accent as the signature song for a TV show set in the West Country.

How about the signature tune of "Only Fools and Horses" (clearly set in London) being sung in a Glaswegian accent, then ? Yes - laughable. That's the point I'm making.
