An interesting thought but certainly no more likely than McCain picking a moderate Republican. He really needs to make more of an appeal to the conservative religious right and Huckaby is the man.

If he picked an ex-Democrat such as Libermann, it would give him quite a lot of press chatter but I doubt if it would translate into more votes.

Given that I live in Sen. Collins' State of Maine, I find it curious that you would consider her a Presidential candidate worth personally supporting. Would you mind elaborating? She is doing quite well in the polls against a liberal congressman, Tom Allen, who is trying to challenge her for her Senate seat.
