There are indeed many more car accidents than sailing ones (however- shhhh - there are a lot more drivers than sailors!).

Thanks for the vote of confidence, Sally. I certainly don't believe in taking unnecessary risks (or indeed rusks, which is what I typed the first time) and safety first is very much the maxim. I need to pass my Yachtmaster exam soon and losing crew members and boats does tend to cost marks.
