Well finally I can find Mudcat for the first time in over 24 hours, talk about withdrawal.
I too have felt, on occasion, that my posts have been ignored or somehow not credible, when someone has repeated the same thing that I have already said.
Thank you for the explanation of why this sometimes occurs McGrath (I do not mean by this statement that you are the culprit, fortunately my memory banks don't seem to be able retain perceived slights with monikers and I just bumble on regardless)
As far as my failing memory serves, I think I read most threads through, that I choose to respond to, before posting.
What I am guilty of, is not acknowledging someone's comment or post, especially when someone new, is taking a step into the forum for the first time and because I have not been here that long, I do remember how daunting that can be.
For my part, it is a combination of inexperience on the Net, (I forget that people can't see you smile or hear you laugh), worry about loading threads with what others might perceive as inane comments like "Wow! what a hoot!" or "However did you come across that wonderful bit of information?", of not being, unfortunately, inately a strokey person, and sometimes of just shear laziness or lack of time.
I would like to resolve to remember that I should spend more time here, acknowledging other people's existance. I know that when someone does that for me, it sure feels good, and hopefully I won't get flamed for bunging up threads with useless? drivel .
And because it has taken me over half an hour to compose this post, (livestock to feed, office duties and phone disruptions) please forgive me if I am guilty of duplication.
