Hi McGrath, I am using Firewire but the ports are at the rear of my machine.

I am in Suffolk, UK. Everything else works fine and at least I can now work with it, I really just hoped that someone might have come across this problem before and have a simple answer.

It's certainly not desperate anymore but would be nice to sort it.

I have given up on the "experts" at various programme help forums, they don't really seem that interested once you have purchased their programme, after all nowadays it seems that sales take preference to all else.

Never mind, it might even sort itself one day.
