I have both. Anglo's right the Record Level Control is VERY handy and is hard to access on the H4. Display on either is fairly small. The H4 will reduce the display's light intensity by quite a bit.
 
Sue, the ToD tells me what it is and why I recorded it because knowing the date and the time tells me what it is.
 
I have always taken the SD card out since my laptop has a card reader built-in. Very handy!
 
The fancy stuff I haven't gotten around to using either.
