Remember that the quality of the music on modern digital recorders is little better than that on the best audio cassette recorders, such as Sony Pro Walkman. The big improvement of course is lack of hiss on the recording, unless the record level is set too low. I have done headphone tests on this and I was quite surprised. The other big improvement is much longer record times and the ability to upload to a PC, convert to FLAC and then upload to Dime for others to hear.
