That marks the difference between truely socially activist musicians, as with a young friend of mine from Kerry, who plays for communities in need fearlessly, while the - Guns of the IRA - style bands, often havent a clue about the politics in Ireland or the US, and are just chasing a buck or a pound. There was a rather funny comment, maybe here on Mudcat calling for the Wolftones to decomission their arms. I must admit, I have liked a few of their songs, but I find their musicianship rather heavy handed - subtle as a German Jazzband?
