Subject: RE: How to pronounce Gaelic
Frank, what you are attempting, and pretty well I might add, to phoneticize is the name of the language know in English as Irish. Many folks think that Gaelic is what Irish folks would speak. It is written modern Irish, using English letters as Gaeilge. And the phrase you wrote to end the post means thanks. Go raimh maith agat, pronounced roughly gur-ra mah agate, is one of the ways you would spell it. Keep in mind that their are a number of different pronounciations based on the part of Ireland, but the most noticeable differences occur in Ulster and the north.

Le gach dea-mhéin, (all the best,)
