Look, the world has been in "sad shape" ever since anyone can remember. Read some political essays from Roman times. They were also bemoaning the sad shape the world was in back then. Same deal in the 1500s or any other century. It's a perennial problem. Society is always "going to hell in a handbasket", even though no one is quite sure what a handbasket is....

But when it comes to sheer nasty carping on a personal level, none of us can hold a candle to Ron Davies. We bow in mute submission and adoration before the dread power of his subtly barbed tongue.
