May I counter a query with a query? Years ago I attended a concert of early music -- it was late medieval/early Renaissance stuff. They (who? I can't remember now) did an Italian song of the late 15th century that translated as "I make my own lasagne." Honest! As I recall, it talked about the process and the ingredients. I know this sounds nuts; but as someone with an interest in food history I've always wanted to track that song down. Any leads? Thanks! Margaret
