Rig, you weren't paying attention. We've already pointed out that the difference is that people who don't want the coverage would be forced to pay anyway. Car insurance is a different situation since without it you are posing a danger to other drivers. If you don't get health insurance, the only person you would pose a danger to is yourself--you would have to pay entirely for your own care.
