The issue of 'boarding up' came from the present incumbent of the Tudor Barn. We were fully aware that the lease was going to be assigned some time this year, but were not given notice until this Tuesday. The folk club is not the only group to use the barn. It is frequently used for weddings and birthday parties, and has the cajun barn dances once a month. This venue could prove an excellent asset for the council if they were to manage it wisely. Of course as a committee member of folk mob we are upset that we are losing this great venue, but a major concern is that if it is allowed to stand empty for any length of time it will be vandalised like other empty buildings in the vicinity - (The Welcome Inn & the cinema).
