I heard the chorus as follows

Come, put your wine into glasses fine
Put your cyder into old tin cans.
Put little Sir John in the nut-brown bowl
For he proved the strongest man.

Note the interpolation of the word 'fine' Folk process in action ? This was at Sidmouth in 1971.
