BWL - While I think you are in favor of a government paid system, like other civilized countries have, the candidates seem to want to keep the insurance companies involved in the process. Personally, I would consider these companies to be leaches on public resources, but if they are going to be involved, and we want universal health care, then you would have to insist that every citizen participate, it seems to me.

                  If you look at some of the proposals that have been put forward by Democratic candidates, there are provisions for assistance to people without adequate resources. At least, that's the way I understand it.
