I started to read this thread with great sadness, not only did we hold Brixton Bert's wake there ( thanks to Dave Bryant) but we also celebrated Dave's life with a wonderful day of music and memories.
I first sang at the Tudor Barn with Dave in the 70's and if we did not live such a long way away I am sure we would have joined the Folkmob. I do hope all will end well and that this wonderful building will remain open and in safe hands!As for a folk club without any beer, if it is a private club and no money changes hands cannot you be allowed to "bring a bottle?"
