Well, we didn't get the numbers we were expecting. Turned out the Irish Centre hadn't sold their entire allocation after all. They merely thought they had. Even so a grand time was had by all. The centre laid on an excellent buffet, there was some superb singing. The musicians gave stirling support to the dancers. There were many fond reminiscences of Joe. And Scowie and Geoff did a great job of running the day, as did Joe's grandchildren in looking after the raffle. Most important of all, once the meal was paid for, we were left with five hundred quid for the British heart Foundation.
