It's impossible to imagine a system of education that didn't involve promoting a viewpoint. Setting out not to promote a viewpoint is in itself a viewpoint, and this viewpoint is promoted in the process.

With the proviso that any attempt to promote a viewpoint (including that last one) can sometimes have the effect of undermining that viewpoint, so far as the recipients are concerned. As several people posting here have indicated in regard to their own education.
