Hey, Manfred, how you doin'?

I prefer to use Elixers on the 12, as opposed to d'addario coated on my 6. They just seem to hold a tune wonderfully, and stay vibrant and lively, until they just die. What I mean by that is that there is very little degradation in sound until they break. Usually I change them when I break the lighter gauges. Might be my imagination, but they just seem to hold their tone longer on the 12. I used to use the Martin Marquis, which I also thought were OK, but they degraded in sound too quick for my liking.
