Let us not be surreal. There are plenty of organizations who do good work to help others, and do it in the name of Christianity, Christ, or some part of the pantheon. It may be fair to say of most people doing this kind of work that it is their inherent individual qualilties that drive them, but it does not hurt them to have the concetrating effect of agreement with a group. In fact I am sure that many people participate in them who have no great convictions, little "Faith" in the organizational sense of the owrd, but who recogtnize a valuable vehicle when they see it.

But these are usually consenting adults exercising free choice.
