Hi, Jack - Peter and Annie Blood-Patterson (the editors of the original book) were commissioned by Sing Out! Magazine to simply compile a list of songs for the new book, and their deadline for the book was November, 1997. They stopped taking suggestions in November, but I did get an e-mail from them in December, asking for more information about some of the songs I had suggested.
By now, the final list should be in the hands of Sing Out! The organization's staff will then gather lyrics and chords, get copyright permissions, and do the layout work. The book is supposed to go to press sometime in 1999.
