Well, Geoff, I just indexed my "documents and settings" folder...with all the sub-folders...and found myriads of things I'd never have noticed...even in temp.folders! There were leftover thumbnails from an old graphics program that never told me it was MAKING thumbnails. And it exposed some areas of 'temp' that are VERY tricky to find in other ways. The file indexer found everything....
Check out these 2 screen captures, using 2 different file managers. (I used the 2nd, because the 1st didn't even show the 'content.IE5' folder...and all those 'coded' folders have similar lists of crap inside them...some of it 2 years old!) I've been doing a lot of deleting. Microsoft makes no attempt to explain why stuff I accessed ONLY using Opera browser ends up as detritus in an IE temp folder.
