I'm fed up with the misogynist attitudes in the forum that have become even worse than usual, now that Obama has pulled ahead of Clinton. So pardon me if I choose to read that into this thread. Regardless of what you think of McCain or this woman, she hardly deserves to be spoken of the way she is here, for the sport of the men here.

Any time a woman (except the Virgin Michelle, of course) gets mentioned in these political threads, the comments about the woman are way beyond the pale of reasonable political discourse, even jaunty banter. Same thing happened in the thread about Chelsea Clinton, and we see it pretty frequently in relation to Hilary as well.

IMO, it reflects a deeply entrenched misogynist culture shared by more than a few of the men who post at Mudcat.
