Well, Anahata has the right idea (hah!) inviting us to use Schoeps MK41s, but a pair of these will cost around $2000. Not in my range I'm afraid, for what I use the machine for.

I'm afraid I'll continue to use the built-in mics on my R-09. If I want something a bit better I still have my stereo Audio-Technica AT825 from the days of my DAT portable (long dead).
