Myself and Mick Forde were invited to a meeting with the council today. Also in attendance was Lynne, Paul & Bill representing the general punters from the bar. The general consensus was that it was frasible for a bar to continue, but with stronger management to keep the louts and yobbos out! (there goes 50% of folkmob's membership) Their plan is: assessment of damage (if any) to the building. Two days deep cleansing. There will be 24/7 security by two guards as well as improved CCTV to cover the rear of the building. We will meet again in two weeks at the Tudor Barn. The building will operate as a tea room during the interim (consultation) period. The upstairs bar may open during this period for Folkmob, but not until 11:30pm as we have requested.
