The latest (free download) for the Edirol r-09 is version 1.30 and I applied it over the weekend - it enables the 8 Gig SDHC cards, so thats' about 13 hours 44100hz 16 bit WAV and about 60 hours of mp3...

I think it still breaks the file at 2gig but it should be seamless and just means a smidgeon of editing later - or another new feature is to force the file break by pressing the repeat a-b button while recording.

I've sent for my 8gig card having got a decent price through Amazon (UK).

Still stunned by how good that little recorder is.
