I worked out on some Lat and long references given on an earthquake site 53.321°N, 0.314°W....and got to about Tescos in Waltham, near Grimsby :-)

Where you went wrong, Helen, was confusing the decimal parts of the degree with minutes and seconds:
53.321^o = 53^o 19' 17.04"
0.314^o   = 18' 48.96"
Tesco is close to 53^o 32' N, 31' W but that is not where it took place. It was at 53^o 19' 17.04" N, 18' 48.96" W (= 53.321^oN, 0.314^oW), i.e. just South of Market Rasen

Remind me not to ask you to do any map reading for me ;-)

We have a large willow tree leaning out into the main road and have been getting quotes to have it cut down. We were woken up by the tremor thinking that maybe the tree had decided to fall before it was pushed.
