For my two cents worth The most important thing for a learner is playability. A low easy action is more important than sound quality because it will sound like crap anyway while learning. When ability improves find a better instrument. I second "DON'T buy anything from the big box stores (Walmart, K-mart, Best Buy, etc.), they sell true crap."
