We were happy with the coffee we had at the various Second Cup outlets we tried. And, while it's the coffee/drinks/munchies at these places that make you want to go back (or not), we liked the fact that several of the Second Cup places we went to each had their own decor and personality so it didn't feel like going to a chain store. There is one at a converted boathouse on Lake Ontario near the Harbourfront Centre(? I think that's the place) in Toronto; we were there on a cold rainy evening and the open fire was blazing. It was our last night in Toronto before we flew home, and it is a nice memory to have.

One thing I didn't like about Tim Horton's was the generic decor.....reminded us of McDonalds, every outlet the same.
