Actually, 'Goik', I invented , I think, a thought-experiment based on your quotation (which was xlose to the correct answer, btw.)

And spelling it out satisfies the remit of this - for want of a better word - thread.

However, imagine a dozen people in a room, and we can see into the room, and are also able to read everyone's mind. And imagine that each of the twelve is thinking that line.

Nowi if one person thinks the words 'Giok' gave, it seems superficially reasonable. But we're imagining all twelve thinking it. Of each other.

So we've taken the centre of 'normality' from one. Cos they're all thinking they are the only normal one. So, now where is normality? Where is the centre of gravity?

As far as I can see, the idea of 'normality' is simply -er - complicated. Or , at least, not self-evident. Especially if we also assume that each of the twelve is 'normal' in a common-sense kind of way.

Then we have to start making distinctions between, e.g., 'normality' and 'familiar'; or 'normality' and 'average'.

naturally, i don't know where I'm going with this. (Have to feed the other wits, innit?)
