Art & Lutherie makes a great little solid top guitar called the Ami. I think the list price is over $200, but it should be findable lower than that, especially online. I can vouch for this as a great-sounding, easy to play entry-level guitar. And it's Canadian! :D Nice to know you can get a decent quality instrument without necessarily resorting to "overseas".
