JiK, I feel your pain. Probably near the same time period, I worked for two years for a publisher of monthly business and trade tabloids, with a side of tourism guides. I DTP'd all of them in WIN 3.1, Pagemaker2, plus ads embellished with the first CorelDraw program. I also did all the paste up of pages, photos and ads, and the colour separations manually, using Rubylith, exacto blades and lots of wax. I also did all the proofreading. I can just imagine what a job yours must have been... 900 pages!
