This has always been her 'I'm so disillusioned and miss Canada big time' album to me.

The jarring contrasts, like the 'Case of You' lyrics, or on 'River' with the 'Jingle Bells' piano intro, seems to belong more on the follow-up to Blue, For the Roses. Blue and For the Roses are two masterpieces, IMO, and I always thought they would have been great combined as double LP--and would have easily rivaled the White Album/The Beatles as one of the greatest of all time.
