Sarah Harmer is wonderful, Rita Mac Neil ditto. Ellen MacIllwaine..one of the great under rated artists of all time, and a great guitarist.k d lang, although she doesn't write much, her voice in incredible.Bonnie Koloc if you can find any of her stuff from the seventies. Mary MacCaslin is great and Joni Mitchell goes without saying really. Sylvia Tyson, Marianne Faithfull, especially her albums Broken English and Blazing Away.Kate and Anna MacGarrigle...my all time favourites, great songwriting and great voices.
