"link between coffee and diabetes"
I have heard of a suggested link between caffeine (and of course sugar ...) and diabetes, but can give no further info.
"a single-handed attempt to empty an economy size tin of Aero Hot Chocolate in 2 weeks"
I admire heroic acts. I'll send flowers!
"Tea's alright, but to sweep all the cobwebs outta my pore brain case at 5:30 I need something with more octane than earl grey can give me. And it smells better."
There are teas that have several times the caffeine content of that stuff! (Actually I do like it! - sometimes). Twinings China Black... for a start :-) and the various 'Breakfast' style teas have a higher content. Darjeeling (and 'Afternoon' types) has a much lower content too.
Try various 'Chai' blends - some have quite a kick - and I just love cinnamon & cloves! Chai is traditionally made with a high proportion of milk too.
