Teribus, they don't understand that calling the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, "England" is like us calling the United States of America, "Texas". Now wouldn't that wind some of them up?

All English people are British, but not all British people are English. Not exactly rocket-science, methinks.
