Shane, About Your girlfriends moms LT-18. Most likely You will find a serial number stamped into the end wood on top of the headstock. In teh seventies they put the number on a paper sticker on top of the paper label in the soundhole, and sometime this sticker fell off. But the LT-18 was replaced in 1969, so they should have it stamped.
