My wife and I recycle, compost, or burn so much of our refuse that we only generate about one bag of hardcore garbage per month. It makes more sense for me to take my own garbage to the transfer station a few times a year than to pay the annual fee for pickup. The transfer station is closed on Sundays and Mondays, so I can go on any other day of the week.

So, since I'm not locked into a particular day of the week for garbage service, I'm free to join any garbage-pickup-day group I choose. It sounds like the Tuesday bunch would be a lot of fun, but I'm open to other days.
