Martin, Bogan and Armstrong, once at The Bottom Line in NYC, and again at My Father's Place in Roslyn, Long Island. I had never known musicians on stage to have as much fun as they did.

Jean Ritchie at the library in Westbury, Long Island. No one makes an audience feel at home the way Jean does.

Tommy Jarrell at a fiddlers convention in Pulaski, VA back in the mid 70's. Tommy was old and had his good and bad days, but this day after he recieved a lifetime achievment award, he played a few tunes on the fiddle and it was the most beautiful fiddling I ever heard. I was never a big fan of his style, but those few tunes will remain in my memory forever.
