There's a weekly song session, really a great jam, every Thursday, about 6:30, in Punta Gorda, Florida at Gilchrist Park. Well attended with separate groups for folk, bluegrass, and hymns. All kinds of instruments - lots of guitars & banjos, some fiddles, mandolins, stand up bass. All acoustic. The same kind of thing is just starting up in Ft. Myers, Florida, on Fridays about 6:30 in Centennial Park. Both have very friendly crowds and all are invited to join in.
