Well we're back!
Wow, so much interest in the IOW Folk scene.
The Club we help with is The Downland Folk Club, at the Castle Inn in Newport, Monthly on the second Friday start about 8:15 or so. ( Which makes the next one this Friday 14th) Planned to be a Traditional and Shanty Club we take your name as you arrive and I try to sort out a running order. Not a singaround as such but I hope everyone gets a chance.

Every Tuesday there is a folk night at the Dairyman's Daughter at Arreton Barns. A mix of music, song and verse etc. Again not so much a sing around but a "whatever you want" around. We tend to join in with most musicians but listen surprisingly attentively to the Unnacompanied singers amongst us.

On the third Tuesday we have Paul's session at the Stag on Horsebridge Hill, on the Newport to Cowes road. Much like the barn but quieter.

For a fuller view of what might be happening have a look here.
Island Folk n stuff

See you somewhere.
