In this case, yes.

Thing is, we live in a society where political violence is the norm, but it's pretty much one way -- from the haves to the have-nots. Growing up in Yorkshire in the 80s, I remember the vanload after vanload of coppers going past the top of our street on their way to the M62 to get to the pits -- and I remember the political violence they dished out when they got there.

But of couse that's "law & order," isn't it? It's only "violence" when those who aren't supposed to start fighting back.

I remember also the Poll Tax riot -- I must've been (let me see...) 20 at the time. Great fun. Would I do it again? Probably not, but only because I'm not so sure I could outpace the OB nowadays. Ho ho.
