Yet another in a long line of recent obit threads I'm afraid.

I was greatly saddened to read elsewhere on the net of the death yesterday of West Clare fiddle great Joe Ryan from Inagh Co Clare.

Joe was one of nature's gentlemen and a great exponenet of the Clare fiddle style. I was fortunate enough to have heard him many times in Miltown Malbay on many occasions and played with him in sessions a few times there. He was a lovely man and very welcoming and encouraging to those around him in sessions, even me!
