Thread Name: Lyr Req: Home again Kathleen 4th verse
Subject: Home again Kathleen 4th verse
I'm perfectly certain that when I used to sing "I'll take you home again Kathleen" there used to be four verses. I'm sure, because everyone used to start clapping at the end of the third chorus, and I had to struggle to get the rest out ... or maybe they were just trying to tell me something!

Well, I'd forgotten most of the words long since, but a friend sang it last week, to an original version of the words and tune (another one with a bad memory). I'm intending to teach him the correct words and tune, and I can only find three verses. That's the way everyone from Joseph Locke to Elvis has recorded it, maybe because taht's all you can get on a gramophone disc.

Anyone know that missing bit? The three known verses are in the DT, of anyone's interested.
