I learned how to use a computer doing desktop publishing for a small publisher in the late eighties. Got our own computer about 1996, but didn't get online for a couple years after. Used it for a couple research jobs, for work, and for myself, email, looking up nature, science and art sites mostly. Joined one forum for socialising one winter when my husband was working for months out West. Faded out of that one when he came home.

Found Mudcat when I started trying to learn how to play a guitar a couple years ago, looking for a song, I think.
