Why don't you visit NetFlix and search on keywords there? They have been tweaking their search and organizing software in order to predict what films their users will like. You could search by year, by actor, by plot premise, etc., but you could also try poking similarly plotted films--they have a system of popup windows that suggest other films that have similarly-weighted characteristics.
