I want to chat about Pysanky Ukranian folk art using a
"batik" process (wax resist) made with whole raw eggs.

Does anyone else here have experience with these?
I videotaped an interview with a local woman
who made these, and showed the film to school kids.
She is gone now, I am glad I captured her when i could.

I am not Ukranian, but I love this beautiful tradition.
The Pysankyt makers say that the world continues because
they continue their egg-making.

Any one else have other easter traditions?
I think i heard of one where eggs..(died red,
probably from beets) were used as a sport such
that some were broken. the winner is the one whose
egg did not break...any idea where this is from?
